Up to 40 percent of food in the United States ends up in a landfill, according to a recent study from the Natural Resources Defense Council, and a press release for the Bourdain’s documentary claims 1.3 billion tons of food, worth $218 billion, is thrown out annually.” – Eater.com.
End to end, we consider our footprint at Meisterdish, so waste is recycled and composted at our local farmers market and we’re proud to know we’ve helped our clients avoid waste by only sending the amount of food they need for each dish.
