During these cold Winter months, there are many ingredients that are able to help keep you warm, healthy, and boost your immune system. Below we have broken down a list of some of our favorite winter superfoods that we make sure to incorporate into our menu. Some you might have already known about, while some might come as a fun surprise.

Beets
Beets are filled with iron, which makes them a great source of energy when you are feeling cold and tired. They are also high in fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B, and potassium.
Brussels Sprouts
Brussels sprouts are a delicious winter superfood that has fiber, protein, antioxidants, and vitamin C. They are wonderful raw and shredded in a salad, or roasted in the oven just like on our roasted brussel sprouts and
Cauliflower
Cauliflower is a low-carb ingredient that has omega-3, and fiber. They are known to improve your mood and can be found in a variety of colors such as white, purple, and green.
Fennel
Fennel is a nutrient-dense vegetable that contains potassium, vitamin C, and fiber. It also has antioxidants that can be anti-inflammatory. Fennel can be roasted (like above) or put into soups and salads.
Pomegranate
Pomegranates are not only a beautiful ingredient, they are also a well known antioxidant that helps with inflammation. They also have fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin K.
Sweet Potatoes
The most impressive quality about sweet potatoes (that may come as a surprise) is that it contains about seven times your daily needed vitamin A. vitamin A is essential for most organ functions, increases eye health, and boosts your overall immunity. They also are high in potassium, and have fiber and protein.
